Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh, canned, or thawed frozen)
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- ½ cup brown sugar (for filling)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for filling)
- Cream cheese frosting or vanilla glaze (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until syrupy, then set aside to cool.
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, melted butter, and egg. Mix in flour and salt until a smooth dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5–7 minutes, then cover and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread with softened butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Spoon cooled peach mixture evenly across the dough.
- Roll into a log and slice into individual rolls. Arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden and puffed up.
- Optional: Drizzle with cream cheese frosting or vanilla glaze before serving.
Notes
Pre-cooking the peach filling prevents soggy rolls. For bakery-style results, brush rolls with melted butter before baking.
